The Grammy-nominated songwriter, producer, technologist, and artist Kenna begins the year by returning to his original name, KNA (ቀነዓ), as he releases the new single “Architect.” Available now, the track marks a moment of reclamation of self rather than reinvention. Long regarded as an enigmatic and highly respected figure, Kenna steps forward through KNA with a hopeful yet intricately dystopian voice at a time of fractured attention, global anxiety, and accelerated cultural upheaval, offering authorship and clarity amid extreme uncertainty and possibility.

At the end of 2025 his creative journey led him to dig deep and ask himself and audiences alike, to be still, to listen and explore our collective dualities. Starting with his release of “I’m Coming Home” and “Listen.” He is now able to quell his own personal introspection with the new sonic, titled “Architect.” Kenna penned the aptly titled track with acclaimed fine artist, Brandon Deener, known for his work globally, and visible at Simchowitz Gallery and represented by legendary gallerist Tony Shafrazi (Basquiat). Kenna also self-produced the sonic experience in collaboration with Deener and co-producer Ray Brady (Miguel, Kilo Kish), each largely celebrated creatives in their own right.

“Architect” further introduces Kenna’s upcoming musical odyssey, defined by aphoristic, and deliberately cryptic lyricism. Synthesizing some of the most cinematic and influential music of recent history, Kenna reflects on a fractured cultural moment with precision and restraint. The release coincides with a chapter of the same name from his forthcoming book, Ode to the Underestimated, extending the song’s ideas into a parallel literary form, while he simultaneously builds a stealth creative platform backed by a major banking institution. More to come.
